Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how karthipsk.dev ("we", "us", "our"), the independent app developer Karthi Palanisamy based in Erode, Tamil Nadu, India, handles information when you use our mobile applications (the "Apps") and this website (the "Site"). By using the Apps or the Site, you agree to this policy.

Some Apps may have an additional app-specific privacy section, published on this page or on that App's listing. Where an app-specific section exists, it adds detail for that App and takes priority if the two differ.

1. Information we collect

We aim to collect as little information as possible. Depending on the App and the features you use, this may include:

• Information you give us: for example your Instagram username and the content of your message when you contact us, or any details you choose to enter in an App.
• Device and usage information: basic technical data such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, and anonymous usage and crash data, used to keep the Apps working and to fix problems.
• Purchase information: if an App offers in-app purchases or subscriptions, payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details; we may receive a confirmation that a purchase was made.
• Permissions: an App may ask for device permissions (such as camera, photos, notifications or location) only when a feature needs them. You can allow or deny these at any time in your device settings.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information unless an App clearly explains why it is needed and you choose to provide it.

2. How we use information

• To provide, operate and maintain the Apps and their features
• To diagnose crashes, fix bugs and improve performance
• To respond to your questions and support requests
• To process and verify purchases made through the app stores
• To meet legal obligations and to protect the security of our users and services

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-party services

Some Apps may use trusted third-party services to function, such as Google Play services, Apple services, analytics or crash reporting tools (for example Firebase), cloud hosting, or advertising networks in free apps. These services may collect information as described in their own privacy policies. Where an App uses such services, they will be named in that App's app-specific section or store listing. We choose services that offer appropriate privacy and security protections.

4. Advertising

If an App shows ads, the ad provider may use device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA, where you allow it) to show and measure ads. You can limit ad tracking or reset your advertising ID in your device settings. On iOS, an App will ask for your permission before tracking you across other companies' apps and websites.

5. Sharing of information

We share information only when necessary: with service providers that help us run the Apps (under confidentiality obligations), when required by law or a valid legal request, to protect rights, safety and security, or with your consent.

6. Data retention

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Support messages are kept as long as needed to resolve your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Data stored only on your device is removed when you uninstall the App.

7. Your choices and rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and you can withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, send an Instagram DM to @karthipsk.dev with "Privacy request" and the name of the App. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the GDPR, or the CCPA.

8. Account and data deletion

If an App lets you create an account or stores your data on a server, you can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by sending an Instagram DM to @karthipsk.dev with "Data deletion request" and the name of the App. Where an App provides an in-app delete option, you can also use that. We will delete the data within 30 days, except where we must keep certain information to meet legal obligations.

9. Children's privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country) unless an App states otherwise. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections where data is transmitted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International transfers

We are based in India. Third-party services we use may process data in other countries. Where this happens, we rely on those providers' safeguards to protect your information.

12. This website

This Site is a simple informational website. We do not use it to collect personal information other than what you choose to send us in a message. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance purposes.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the relevant App or its store listing where appropriate.
